Welcome to ‘Stop the Cruelty’
I've rescued and looked after animals, both pets and wildlife, for years now. Unfortunately, most people seem apathetic and many actively seek to cause animals harm. Whether from a need for profit or from a perverse sense of pleasure, this attitude has been causing me anguish for years.
I really wanted to be able to do something that helped. I've donated money, written to my MP, rescued animals and tried to encourage my neighbours. I finally decided to put up this web site and see where it might lead.

I thought the best way to do things on this site would be to use the 'Issues' page as the place to put the latest things causing me concern. I'll give the background and pictures where possible. The idea is that you can then go to the 'What Can I Do?' page to see what can be done about the issue. It may take the form of a petition, a boycott, writing a letter to someone ....... Let's hope some good comes out of this.
